Our Core Values

We believe that...

A saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ is the basis for bringing people to dependence upon God and interdependence within society.

  • God's Word is sufficient to address all of life's spiritual and behavioral problems.

  • Our ministries should be proactive, interventive, and biblically based in addressing the problems that our clients face. However, our assistance should be subordinate to the family and the church, which God has provided as the primary institutions for fostering God-honoring lifestyles.

  • Homelessness may be symptomatic of deeper spiritual issues.

  • Outreach to the community through our business centers is a contemporary version of biblical gleaning and wise stewardship.

  • Holland Rescue Mission is a unique place in which the broader Body of Christ can interact and minister to people.

  • Our ministry is best expressed through a partnership with local churches as an effective means of ministry to all segments of society.

  • All people should have an opportunity to experience a saving relationship with Christ.

  • God uses a variety of culturally relevant means to reach people with the Gospel.

  • The progress of our clients will be characterized by the fundamental values of spiritual growth, personal responsibility, cooperative participation, financial accountability and the adoption of a positive work ethic.
